Track the steps before the sale, and why a value here is never counted as revenue.
Tracking an event
roas.track() records funnel and behaviour events: signup, add_to_cart, demo_booked, anything you name.

Why this is not revenue
A value here is never counted as revenue. Anyone can open a console and fire roas.track('purchase', { value: 999999 }), so browser-reported money is treated as behaviour, not money.
Revenue enters only through a signed webhook or your own server. That is exactly why a ROAS number from this product survives being questioned in a meeting.
